Bathroom remodelling: our London service area

We take bathroom remodelling enquiries from anywhere in Greater London. These are the rules and conditions that matter most for a full strip-out here.

Electrics in a bathroom

Approved Document P sets the Building Regulations requirements for electrical safety in homes. Some bathroom electrical work is notifiable, so it must be done by a registered competent person or signed off by building control. [1]

Limescale and new plumbing

The Drinking Water Inspectorate notes that water with a hardness of 200 mg/l or more as calcium carbonate will produce scale, and Thames Water states that all of the water in its region is hard. New thermostatic valves and showerheads should be chosen with that in mind. [2] [3]

Floors between flats can be party structures

GOV.UK guidance explains that a floor separating flats with different owners can be a party structure. If your remodel involves work to that floor, the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 may apply. [4]

Bathroom renovations throughout London

We renovate bathrooms, en-suites and shower rooms in every London borough.

Older London homes often hide awkward pipe runs, uneven floors and limited ventilation, which is exactly what a full renovation is designed to sort out.

Bathroom surveys happen at your property, wherever you are in London.
